Leaving behind
The city grind
The rolling farmlands
With their colorful crop bands
Peaceful are these lands
Soothing my mind
Allowing time
To unwind
And ponder
Of my journey yonder
With eyes in wander
As the quiet road winds
Tiny farmhouses I find
Some with trickling streams
And a glorious sunset backdrop means
My drive will end soon
To my home of peace…
